Description:
1936 The Queen Mary was commissioned and made over 1000 Atlantic crossings. The ocean liner is now permanently berthed at Pier J.

There are several ghosts that roam the ship. They are not shy in making their presence known to the staff, crew, or guests.

Near the first class swimming pool there have been reported sightings of two women, one dressed in 1930's attire and the other in 1960's. Two women have been reported to have drown there.

A young boy fell overboard on one crossing leaving his spirit to dwell in the passageway near the pool.

A beautiful woman dressed in a flowing etheral white gown has been seen in the Queens Salon. It is unknown who this woman might be or why she stays.

Children's voices and play sounds have been heard in the Forward Storage Room. This is where the ship's archives are maintained.

The Changing Rooms have a negative presence about them as reported by physcis - the reason for this remains a mystery.

The Tourist Class Swimming Pool is also haunted by a woman who drowned.

Dressed in 1930's attire, a dark haired gentleman has been seen by tour guides in the First Class Suite area.

Unexplained poundings have been heard in the Bosun's locker which is the hull area of the ship. This sliced through the British light Cruiser Curacoa in half during WWII. The Queen Mary was not allowed to stop and rescue the survivors because of wartime sailing orders. At least 338 men perished in the freezing cold ocean waters struggling to survive.

The spirit of a murdered Purser remains behind in Cabin B340. This cabin can not be rented out due to extraordinary activity there.

on most seafaring ships, the cook is held to the highest standards. It is his responsibility to maintain the level of food quality and quantity. However, during WWII a cook was found murdered because his food was so horrible that the men going to the front rioted forcing him into the oven and cooking him to death. His painful screams can be heard today - seems he wishes to remind those of us today how he suffered.

Located with in the metal frame of the ship lies a morgue. During it's time, sixteen crewmembers, two G.I.s, and 31 passengers have died on the ship (haunted-places).

Within those numbers, crewman John pedder remains behind because he could not make it through the hatchway #13 in the shaft alley during a routine watertight drill on july 10, 1966. His body was found crushed within the door. Senior 2nd Officer Wiliam Stark was found lying dead due to ingesting tetrachloride. The tetrachloride was kept in the Captains room in an old wine bottle - murder or accidental death?

Unexplained balls of lights and apparitions of men, women, and children from decades ago have been sighted by many visitors and crew/staff. For the most part, each apparition and incident can be tied to a death which occurred either within the walls of the ship or because of the ship.
