Russian Hill, San Francisco used to be the home of an old cemetery. However, the cemetery is no longer visible as it is buried under the Russian Hill section of San Francisco. It is not known whether the cemetery was moved or simply mowed over. There are many who feel the residents of the cemetery may not realize it no longer exists as there have been many incidents of manifestations and paranormal activity.
The monastic tower of the San Francisco Art Institute left former student Bill Morehouse a bit on the nervous side when he heard footsteps coming up the steps to the third level. I?m sure if it was just footsteps that might have been fine but when the door opened and closed and the footsteps marched past him onto the observation deck he became a believer! Janitors, students, and a watchman have encountered apparitions climbing the stairs of the tower as well. During the remodeling of the tower workers reported that there 3 near fatal accidents that occurred leaving each one convinced of an evil presence responsible for the accidents and the breaking noises that were often heard. A group of psychics in their efforts to contact the presence felt there were many frustrated spirits and not just one. |
